  Took my teenage son to Dr. Blackwell to help his bad acne problem. Never saw Dr. Blackwell, was always seen by an assistant. The assistant prescribed some expensive cleanser, dab on ointment, and Minocycline which is just an antibiotic used for mild cases of acne. After months of use and 3 more visits later, there was absolutely no sign of improvment and my son was only getting worse. Yet everytime we went back to Blackwell's office for a followup appointment the assistant would look at my son, say he looks much better, and walked out. Never gave him a real examination or did anything else for him. Was a total waste of time and money. Took my son to another Doctor in Sparta who was much more attentive, sent my son for blood tests, and put him on Accutane which is a drug that was developed specifically for severe acne treatment. I cannot believe how much his face has cleared in less than half the time we spent dealing with Blackwells office.
