  I've been to this planned parenthood and liked it in the past so I figured I'd go again. I made my appointment and was told it would cost as much as 175$ which I was fine with paying. I have a past with ovarian cysts and have had a constant pain in the same side for months so I was hoping for a check up and possible referral. From the moment I stepped in the doctor focused on nothing but my weight. From how the certain birth control she wanted to put me on wouldn't work as well because I was overweight to how I should get a stool to put my feet on while at work because I'm just carrying around too much weight. Now I'm not oblivious to my weight but I only need to be told once. She asked me nothing about my pain or what brought me in and nothing about previous periods. When I tried to bring up my pain all she said was that it was most likely because I'm over weight. While she was examining me she actually jiggled my stomach and said, "this is no good and it's such a shame because you're so young and pretty". I went back in after we were done to check my blood pressure and she asked what I was doing for the rest of my day. I said hanging out with a friend to which she said, "you should go to the Tai restaurant. It's healthy." I kept my cool the whole time until I found out they were charging me $250 for the visit and a pap and to be fat shamed. I was not heard. I was not helped. I'm still scared about my pain and paid money to get no answers or even a referral so now I will have to pay more money to go somewhere else. I will NEVER set foot in this place again and I hope the entire staff actually learns to deal with people.
