  It's hard to get good reviews out of me but Smith McCracken did such a wonderful job with my Mom's funeral it was hard to not let their great customer service go unnoticed. In a very difficult industry like they're in, dealing with people's emotions is tough, but tying in the business sense to it is even harder. The genuine staff and leadership they had available did a wonderful job catering to the sudden emotional aspect of it all - you can tell that providing an experience that's comforting to the customer is their main priority at all times. I will recommend them to everybody in the Newton, NJ area who needs their great service.

  I am not sure if people read reviews before picking a funeral home for their loved ones but I hope they do. I can't express enough gratitude for how wonderful these people were during the loss of my father. Rachel and Andrew were warm caring people who never made me feel like my brothers or I had anything to worry about. Pam fielded what was probably a million phone calls from us, and was always kind and extremely helpful. They kept in contact with us, and offered so much help through this process. The services were beautifully and respectfully set up. No one wants to have to go through the loss of a parent, but picking Smith- Mc Cracken as the funeral home we used, was absolutely the best choice.

  On Saturday, December 20th 2014,my brother in law, John Quimby was laid to rest. He was given a beautiful service.
